Context:
Creamfrost is a D2C gelato brand offering a wide range of desserts including ice creams, waffles, beverages, and more.
I designed the e-commerce experience to simplify product discovery, streamline ordering, and improve overall conversion by reducing friction across the user journey.
The goal was to create a fast, intuitive, and mobile-first ordering experience that aligns with real customer behavior.

Problem:
With multiple product types and no existing digital presence, the core challenge was creating a structure that felt simple and familiar from day one. The ordering experience needed to work for first-time visitors without any learning curve.
Customers visiting food ecommerce platforms often face:
-
Confusing product categorization
-
Too many steps to place an order
-
Poor mobile experience
-
Lack of clarity in menu exploration
For Creamfrost specifically:
-
Multiple product types (gelato, drinks, waffles) created complexity
-
Users struggled to quickly find what they wanted
-
Ordering flow wasn’t optimized for quick decisions

Approach
The design started with how food customers actually make decisions
fast, visual, and impatient.
Menu architecture was built from scratch — grouping products into clear categories and surfacing high-demand items early. A visual-first layout was used to let imagery drive decisions rather than relying on text descriptions.
The ordering flow was designed to minimise steps from browsing to checkout. Every interaction was mapped to reduce friction before it could become a drop-off point.
The entire experience was designed mobile-first built for thumb-friendly navigation and quick interactions.

Outcome:
The brand launched with a structured, conversion-focused experience. Users could browse, decide, and order with minimal effort. The mobile experience felt native and fast from the very first interaction.
Creamfrost launched with an ordering experience built for speed designed around real customer behaviour from day one.
