Context:
HiGalen is a HealthTech platform aimed at simplifying and digitizing fragmented clinical workflows.
The goal was to reduce operational friction, improve data visibility, and create a more efficient digital experience for clinics. I worked on both the core SaaS product (web app) and the marketing website, focusing on improving usability, structuring complex data, and enabling smoother workflows for healthcare professionals.

Problem:
Healthcare workflows were fragmented across disconnected tools. The interface wasn't designed for the pace of real clinical environments
Doctors and clinics struggle with:
-
Time-consuming manual processes
-
Poor visibility of patient data
-
Disconnected tools across operations
-
Lack of structured digital systems
This leads to:
-
Slower decision-making
-
Operational inefficiencies
-
Frustration for both doctors and staff
The opportunity was to create a unified, intuitive platform that simplifies these workflows.

Approach
Rather than designing isolated features, the focus was on building a centralized workflow system from the ground up.
Critical flows — onboarding, consultations, and scheduling — were simplified first. Data-heavy interfaces were restructured to reduce cognitive load and improve information hierarchy.
A design system was introduced to create consistency across the platform and enable faster iterations across teams. Decisions were validated using Mix panel insights throughout.

Outcome:
The platform evolved into a more intuitive and structured system, reducing friction across workflows and improving usability. Doctors could navigate tasks more efficiently, while the product team benefited from faster iteration cycles and better alignment across design, product, and development.
Impact: Reduced friction across core workflows and improved task efficiency for doctors, leading to faster decision-making and smoother daily operations.
